At the Imperial Springs International Forum, Joseph Muscat, Former Prime Minister of Malta told SFC reporter that he has been proud to subscribe his country Malta to the Belt and Road Initiative and Malta has been an active part of the initiative.  

For Chinese multilateralism, he said, “When it comes to China, I believe that the world appreciates the Chinese perspective of mutual respect and multilateralism. What I think needs to be done more is that China is able to step up and solve many of the conflicts that exist. So I do advocate the need for China to come in, make its voice heard, and help to pacify and solve some of the ongoing conflicts in the world.”
